National Award for IITM Software
Systems Development Lab., IIT Madras is honoured to receive the award for outstanding contributions to the welfare of the disabled. The award was given for the Multilingual Software developed for use by the Disabled, specifically the visually handicapped. President Kalaam gave the award which was received by Prof. R. Kalyana Krishnan on Dec.3, 2003.
SDL, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Madras, India, places on record, the contributions of more than sixty undergraduate and postgraduate students who worked on the Multilingual Systems project. This award belongs to them.
